My point in this particular thread is the dangerous or misleading use of limited population surveys to attempt to draw representative or conclusive positions.

In the link 90tiger provided below, 293 Americans answered an online survey between Jan 12th and 13th in favor of the conclusion the survey reported. That was then extrapolated to indicate that is what Americans want. My point in this thread is that kind of usage of data is both asinine and irresponsible.
