did say if I recall correctly, that he should have gotten the job… Because he’s black.
Without having been there it’s hard to say how that conversation went, but if he introduced his blackness as his main asset, then maybe the comment about his being an affirmative action hire was appropriate.
I don’t know. On the surface, it sounds rude and unprofessional.
