Most of their ideas are founded on the notion that scarcity will be eliminated by technology.

It is nonsense as there will always be a finite amount of resources weighed against unlimited wants.

They believe a society could work where every gives the fruits of their labor to the common and are then free to take from the common what they need.

It completely ignores that during the first snowstorm people will hoard and take more than they need and there will be no check on it as there will be no merchants who raise prices. It is all free sh1t at the common. Price gouging is evil to them as they see it as greed, when it reality it is a useful check on hoarding.
