Sen Graham says that the "Wall" has never been anything but a metaphor for "border security" and Trump says it has never meant anything but a solid huge best wall you ever seen. Which of them is right and which is endangered by sticking to their guns?
Of a side note, I fine it curious that at a time when we experience negative migration from the South, the president thinks "border security" on the South to be of such vital national interest he is willing to at least attempt a big showdown over the issue by closing down the govt. Perhaps, as limbs do, this limb will get thinner and thinner the farther out on it the president goes.
