It is why we have such a shltty record in the series.

And for MU or Ill fans that look at that as an excuse, it is not. It is an unacceptable fact of the matter for MU fans. Our fans care a lot. The same can not always be said about our team/program/AD.

Illinois has always viewed us as inferior to them and it has always been very important to them to keep us there. They demand to beat us and prove the superiority in their minds. MU kinda sorta wants to win a game.
