We were offered junior status and didn't immediately accept. The Big 10 then offered Nebraska, who accepted.

Don't kid yourself. Had we wanted in the Big 10, we'd be in it already. But we don't want it, and the majority of Mizzou fans, like me, are thrilled that we didn't make that mistake.
