Well we really don't know if a kid is a 'difference maker' until he gets on campus and suits up do we ? I mean guys like Albert O, Badie, were pedestrian 2-3 star recruits but they're making a difference right now.
Brendan Scales should be a difference maker, a four star kid with an offer from Alabama, but he's buried on the depth chart.
Point being is that this, recruiting ratings and projecting how good a kid will be 4 years after he graduates high school is an inexact science at best.
I could continue to build a case but suffice to say we've owned couple of teams who have out recruited the hell out of us the past few years.
If by studs you mean guys like Sheldon, DGB, 5 star guys yeah we struggle, they usually go to elite schools. I think we'll continue to do well and with the extension Odom got that shows stability which is important to many kids, we'll do even better.
