...and I actually think it's a blend of what he saw Pinkel and Smith do, and what he thought worked best of those.

Smith had some serious success against a very tough schedule at Mizzou before it crashed and burned. So did Pinkel (more, and more enduring, but still with ups and downs). I get the sense Odom is blending the two.

Pinkel didn't schedule differently than his conference competition. Neither does Odom.
