scapegoat him for Kim's failures. There was no NCAA investigation when Haith left. There was an allegation that was being investigated (which happens all the time), that didn't end up being part of the final findings in the actual investigation because it was determined it didn't have merit.
Either way, Haith didn't have any NCAA violations attributed to him. The violations were about our compliance department being negligent and doing a poor job on an issue that spanned both Haith and Kim's tenure. It created no competitive or recruiting advantage for MU and resulted in a minor violation.
MU choose to make it into a big deal to try and explain why their hire was failing to such a drastic degree. Then that became a moot point when it became obvious he was going to fail at that level regardless, and we had simply self penalized for no reason.
