At one point it was thought he would be the #1 pick if he was able to leave during high school. He and I are not in the same situation.
He was always going to have far more money that I will. But almost nobody could have predicted he would become the 14th overall pick, have no college career to speak of, still not be playing in the NBA, and have it be entirely plausible his professional career will be short and/or non-existent.
Money isn't everything.
