Why would they keep coming if the opportunity here is not any better than the opportunity at home with the added cost of moving?

We have a huge border force, arrest them if they are caught here illegally, deport them many times....and they still come here...in some cases spending a lot of money to be smuggled here.

They clearly see the benefits of coming here (be it jobs, welfare or whatever) to be much much greater than the benefits of where they are staying.

As a result, we spend billions ramping up our efforts to stop them..and they spend more to avoid our efforts...we spene more ..and the cycle keeps going.

Maybe it is time to actually think and do something totally different.
