the program as long as we get a competent builder. No university I know of would hire a high school science teacher as an astrophysics professor.

There are competent, experienced coaches out there if we're willing to pony-up the bucks to get them. We can built all the facilities in the world, but they will be nothing more than monuments to futility if we don't get the right head coach to lead this program.

More than one college football head coach has said that Missouri is a sleeping giant. Gary Pinkel awakened the giant for a few years, but we needed someone to built on that success and Barry Odom ain't that someone, I'm sorry to say. I really wanted him to succeed, but he doesn't seem to command much respect from his players. I'm sure they all "like", but do they respect him like they did Pinkel?
