It was/is a local issue. Unless they are accusing him of rape or murder then the statute of limitations is long past on any criminal charges.

They refused to name the accuser or even what he was alleged to have done. This was a final attempt to Bork him before the vote.

There was absolutely nothing honorable about how it was handled.
