committed a campaign violation at the direction of DJT.
although Cohen himself pled to a campaign violation it's FAR from settled law that it actually is a campaign finance violation for him let alone DJT.
i agree that there is an argument to be made that it is, but there's also a very good argument to be made that it isn't.
that aside, the usual recourse for campaign finance violations are not felony charges, they are civil remedies in the forms of fines ala the Obama campaign accepting millions in illegal contributions and being fined 375k.
if the new standard is felony charges for everyone then ok I guess we can go down that road, but as for now, it appears that felony charges are for likes of D'nesh Dsouza and Cohen but nobody else. that's problematic in my mind.
