And yes, it does matter if you believe (pisteuō entrust your soul to) in God, as opposed to believing about God. The demons believe the truth about God, but are not in the same "economy" before God, and their condition to be met is different from that of man. Having a much fuller understanding of God, they rebelled. We did not enjoy that level of knowledge before hand.
