last at any point. If our staff were recruiting well, we wouldn't be last right now.
If we can win big this year and the staff still has us in last (or 13th, for that matter) next year, we have a serious problem. I know we won't ever recruit at the level of UGA, Bama, Florida, etc., but we should absolutely be able to recruit at the level of MSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Arkansas and always ahead of Vandy and Kentucky. Basically, year in and year out, we should be ranked around 7th to 11th, depending on the size of the class and the talent in and around our state.
And anyone who says "recruiting stars don't matter" is an idiot. Pinkel and his staff were GREAT at player development, which made up for sub-par recruiting. Barry and his guys have not proven to be good at doing so.
