And youre right, but admitting bias is a sh*tstorm that he could not possibly weather.

Edit to add: If he said "In my personal life, I was not a Trump supporter. And while I may have said some things about him in my civilian life, it in no way affected my duty as an FBI agent."

Probably a more PC way of saying it to avoid said sh*tstorm.
