Perhaps we should join the MAC?

We are already an affiliate member for wrestling. Maybe we could compete for our first conference championship in football in nearly 50 years. Though our recruiting will need to improve to be legitimate contenders in the MAC as we are currently only 6th in the rankings.

Our recruiting effort is a complete joke, SEC teams that fired their head coaches are destroying us on the recruiting trail. I can't recall us ever being this far behind in recruiting this late in the game and I'm pretty darn old.

BO is a good kid, he works hard and loves the university. Much in the same way that Kim Anderson did, but it's obvious that he's way over his head. It's a heck of a jump from Rock Bridge H.S. to the SEC as a head coach. He would be well served to take a D2 HC job, learn the ropes and work his way up. It's not his fault that he's not qualified, no established coach wanted the Mizzou job after the circus in 2015 and he was basically the only one willing to take the job.

Current recruits are being shown renderings of the locker rooms and fancy facilities in the new SEZ project to be completed by their arrival next year, yet no one appears to be impressed. Did we waste $100 million or is there an even bigger problem? Something needs to change, we shouldn't be struggling to compete with MAC and other mid-majors on the recruiting trail.
