"Long time to mend" ?

He graduated more than 35 years ago. His ass has continually been kissed by Pinkel, chancellors, presidents and every assistant coach that's been through St. Louis.

Players like Gabbert, Maclin and many others have gone on to great success after Mizzou. Our graduation rate is exemplary. What exactly is there to "mend"? Johnson is 57. Will he be 92 when it's finally "mended"? Why is there no mending with someone like Laurence Bowers? Or Maclin?
