Disturbing news on STL recruiting front

I was just listening to Frank Cusamano on 590. He said he was talking to the head coach of a very prominent local high school program and that Corey Patterson (former Trinity coach hired by Lovie Smith at Illinois) has been all over the St. Louis area making inroads at all the top programs (including that one). Meanwhile, he said he had not heard a thing from Mizzou lately.
Now, as Cusamano said, it may be that this program does not a recruit that Mizzou wants this year. But they have had several players in the past and will have more in the future. I also realize that maybe there are better players we can try to get out of Georgia or somewhere else in the SEC. Still, I want to see us get the top local players if we can.
Makes me wonder just WTF HCBO is doing. We should have a coach in both KC and STL blanketing those areas and in constant contact with the coaches.
