Ok, and how is it solved? It’s been decades

It would be nice if StL got the stick out of their ass. But unfortunately they seem to have their heads shoved up it. The mentality is that they would rather brag to their friends about getting an offer to go to a bigger school elsewhere....and probably not play much than go to their state school were they have a much better shot at being a factor. That mentality starts somewhere....my guess is their HS coaches steer them elsewhere to make themselves look better rather than what might be in the best interest of the kid and their family. This obviously isn’t the case with every kid, but a higher % of these kids are busts at these bigger programs than turn out to be successes....mainly because they are recruited over and not developed. At bigger programs you have to show you are the real deal early or you are already on your way out.
