My brother had the SI cover of David Thompson taking the ball over Bill Walton on his wall. DT had the ball above the square. He was 6'4".
And somewhere out there is a pic of 6'2" Terry Mead of the bootheel hitting his head on the rim in a game at Three Rivers. Mead may be the quickest off the floor to the maximum level I've ever seen. Dude seemed to just spring off the ground with little effort. He had no short or middle jump. Every time he left the floor it was maximum. Nearly 4 feet. He was amazing to watch.
