players from a team that won 8 games last year. The only true P5 level player on the roster was Barnett.
Illinois has a true point guard to run their offense.
Cuonzo doesn't. His best option at point is GEIST, someone who should be playing in the Horizon League.
On top of all that:
MPJ hasn't played due to injury.
Tilmon's minutes have been limited due to foul trouble.
TP was suspended, making our depth at PG even thinner.
Harris, an emotional train wreck, got home sick and transferred.
CJR (one of Kim's recruits) wasn't good enough for PT as a freshman and transferred.
What Cuonzo has done with such a depleted roster — being able to get productive minutes out of players like CVL and Geist — is remarkable.
