Great quality road win, and some great adjustments by the staff. Shifting some of the playmaking responsibilities back to Robertson really payed off, and we really did a much better job of working inside out and playing through the post.
Tilmon is a monster, when SEC officials get to the point where they allow him to play and play aggressively he is going to dominate. Same thing with Jontay. We are going to have an extremely formidable post duo next year assuming a normal growth curve, possibly the best since John Brown/Al Eberhard or at least dating back to the Doug Smith/Jevon Crudup days (which were a very brief pairing).
Good to see Barnett engaged defensively again. He may have struggled a bit offensively but he found other ways to contribute.
Between Puryear and Vanleer, I'm not sure which I'm less confident in them knocking down an open jumper. Although Puryear was also getting blocked every time he tried to take it inside, and then blew the one open layup he got. Down the stretch we need to find a way for him to be a comfortable contributor scoring wise.
Kassius Robertson is a poor man's Clarence Gilbert. And I mean that as a very high compliment. What a great addition he has been and its so enjoyable watching him play.
Can't believe Nikko only played 11 minutes in the box score. Seemed like twice that. Big, crucial minutes he gave us when the officials tried to make sure we couldn't put any bigs on the court.
When Vanleer is the only man back on a defensive fast break he may want to just think about laying down. Seems like 100% of the time he weakly fouls while the opposition just ignores him being there and converts the and 1.
To overcome a free throw disparity like that on the road is a considerable achievement. There were a lot of opportunities in that game to collapse or let Bama back into it, and MU kept finding an answer to keep them at a distance.
