contractor - he was never an employee of hrc/the dnc or the law firm. The dnc/clinton didn't even interview him for the job. He worked for others before and after - including contracting to the FBI (worked on the FIFA soccer investigation.)
The FBI also engaged Steele for the Russian investigation - did you forget that?
No - asking an investigator if he/she has heard of someone does not have to be shady as ****. Had they said "We believe that papadopolous did this (illegal act)" - now that's a different matter. Your article doesn't make that assertion.
