the investigation could be handled competently, in an unbiased manner, by a partisan or hyper-partisan investigator. however; neither of these two cases are "normal" cases. both will be picked apart for years no matter what the outcome. there is typically not this level of scrutiny for any usual investigation. there were outcries of bias in both of those investigations so it was way more important than normal to use people who were competent but not hyper-political. in the case of Strozk, he handled the lying of Huma and Cheryl differently than that of Flynn just for starters. the OPTICS are important in this case. and the optics AND the actions smell look like sh*t .
