It was remarkable how the insurance industry convinced people to vote against their interests and right to recover in a medical malpractice claim. This is a false narrative. I will tell you as someone who has been in that business that attorneys are extremely picky about med mal cases because they are very high cost and risk. Insurance companies refuse to settle, so they all go to trial and get appealed regardless of how egregious.
