I pay for insurance. Yes, those premiums are tax free. But I still pay them. Call it $3000 per year.
NOT PAYING those fees is compensation. And if we are taxing all compensation, then that $3k should be taxed, right?
If a student's compensation by their University in the form of waived tuition is taxed, shouldnt a veteran's compensation by the US military (in the form of free HC) also be taxed?
