One of the current right wing campaigns is to block grant Medicaid with inflation adjustments.
1/3 of all Medicaid spending is on nursing homes. The baby boom is aging. Nursing homes are already tragically underfunded. Well, the folks in nursing homes on Medicaid are part of Trump's rural base.
1/3 of Medicaid is spent on the disabled. They are not going away either.
That leaves the 1/3 of Medicaid spent on children and the $10-12 an hour workers that get into car accidents without any medical insurance. Well those are part of Trump's base.
It isn't going to turn out well for Trump's base.
