The tables in the article show that under current law the taxpayer would pay 10% on the first 9,325 and 15% on about 11,700.
As my post makes clear, I haven't followed all the revisions all that closely. But the main point of my post remains. People that make 30K do pay income taxes under both plans. DHighlander's post that I responded to was wrong.
But thank you for the information you posted.
