When WalMart first opened a store at 75th and I-35 I used to go there for the in-store photo lab. I was always amazed at the amount of low income folks in the store as it wasn't that type of area.

Now 25 years later the area IS that type of low income housing with a major change in demographics.

Did WalMart know the area would be in decline and have more of its targeted market? Or did WalMart attract more of its targeted market to the area?
