Yes, he spoke to Kislyak at the convention. Yet, he knew who Kislyak was. How could that be if he'd only met him for the first time at the GOP convention?
Page then said the meeting was of no consequence.
Question: Why would the Russian Ambassador be present at the GOP convention if he were not there to have conversations of consequence? Was he there just for fun? "I was bored; thought Cleveland would be a good place to go in July."
I'm not asking you to have these answers; rather this is very odd behavior from the most senior Russian in the United States, if there's nothing of consequence.
