That's what happened with Pinkel. We were paying him over $4 million per year by 2015, due to the success he had and the cost of retaining him.
The bottom line is that if we want a successful coach for the long-term — one who can compete week-in/week-out against SEC level competition — then we're going to have to pay for it.
