from when the hotel was notified till cops and other security guards should have responded.

Mandalay Bay is of course a huge place. I visit there every February. From the entrance from the parking garage till the place I visit (which is pretty close to the farthest reaches of the joint -the 3rd floor of the convention part) is about a 10 minute brisk walk -not running.

So figure the guards pretty much are within 10 minutes of any point in the casino.

Now they may have wanted the cops and or securtity guards to group and not just rush up. And I figure on Sunday night the Mandalay Bay A team of security was not working.
Those two facts may have led to the delay

But if it was a casino heist going down, you can be damn sure the response would have been more prompt.

One other fact is that Mandalay Bay employees have been notified that if they talk to the press they will be fired.
