Companies moved to outsourcing for a variety of reasons.

1. Cheaper labor
2. we are in a world economy and communication is seamless and no need to be in the same building to get the job done
3. Regulations were less burdensome
4. Taxes were lower
5. You are closer to new customers

among others....they did not just move because competitors did it
