you believe that as the constitution was being written in 1789 and arms consisted of a handful of things (muskets, cannons, etc.) that the writers intended for all future arms, regardless of their capabilities to be included under this amendment?
I don't believe this. I know that the intended purpose of the Second Amendment was to outright prohibit all federal government infringements upon the private ownership of armaments (which then and today come in many different forms). We are not debating this; I am telling you the intention of the Second Amendment.
And you believe that in 2017, anyone, regardless of violent crime history, mental handicaps, age, etc., should be able to acquire whatever arms they desire for whatever purpose?
I won't make the decision for anyone else. If someone wants and can afford certain property, I am in no position to stop their voluntary efforts to acquire it. That is the difference between people like me (pro liberty) and people like (pro tyranny).
