Mary is born at home to Juan and Maria Sanchez.... neither of which is a US citizen. She and her parents return to their native Guatemala shortly after her birth.

Mary grows up in Guatemala and eventually learns she was born in the US and wishes to return. Does she have to prove her claim her US citizenship? Does the US have to prove she is not a citizen, or does she have to prove she is?
