as a young Republican I was an extra in one of his commercials as he sought re-election.

Then as now, he wasn't a politician. Rather, he was and is a strikingly intelligent and deeply thoughtful (if slightly awkward) individual.

I liked him then and I like him now. Spot on with regard to Donald.
