some on this board who say that he's better than half the back ups in the league.
And his teammates love him. And he's not a disruption.
Have these people been in the locker rooms? Have they seen him play other than on television? Can they evaluate his playing style and abilities within the offensive strategies of each of the 32 teams?
And after he gets a job, will the pay be enough to satisfy the NAABP, or will there be another boycott to ensure fair salary treatment by the team dumb enough to wimp out. And if they pay him enough, will they play him enough. If the starting QB is white, will the naabp decide that he is only playing because of white privilege and demand the brat be the starter?
It's never enough.
The NFL has to win. The owners have egos bigger than politicians'. The coaches want to keep their jobs. Winning is secondary to the players after their money and the lifestyle it offers.
Owners and coaches would play stalin at QB if it would win them a championship.
The rams (?) took the gay player. They got great publicity and a lot of kudos from gaze and socialists. But he sucked (not that way) and is gone.
Social justice in a place where only competence and results matter is not going to work.
