holdovers, I think we will see Martin do even better with Anderson holdovers. Say what you want but Haith and Fuller were excellent at coaching up guards. The guards that held over from Anderson's team were perfect for Haith and Fuller and they made the most of it.
Martin's ability to coach up players has been sketchy at best. But one thing he does get his players to do is play extremely TOUGH. That is something that was missing from the Anderson era. The players played hard, but they didn't play TOUGH. Martin will get the players to play tough and play smart hard nosed defense. What I like about Martin's staff is that Mann and Hollender have been touted as coaches who do a great job coaching up players, especially offensively. Porter Sr's pedigree I think speaks for itself in the player development category. As with the 1st Haith team, I expect good coaching and good player development to go a LONG way in the returning players being better than what we think. When Haith took over NONE of us thought his first team would make the run they did. I think we are going to be as pleasantly surprised with this team as well.
