“I’ve always been proud to wear Mizzou basketball stuff,” Kevin Puryear said Tuesday, “but I’m more proud now than ever. When I go home and people actually notice who I am, I think that’s pretty cool.”
“It’s just been a great transition to experience the last two years and now to have good experiences and hopefully some future success,” Puryear said.
“Having a roster like this is ... whew. I don’t even think I have words for it,” Terrence Phillips said.
“It’s been really fun,” Barnett said. “We’re gonna get all these really talented players to come in and play with us. We’re all going to be able to help, and it’s a great feeling to know that we have a chance to do something really special. It’s been awesome working out with the new coaching staff and getting to know them.”
