I think his ability to recruit will be severely undermined if he doesn't win at least 8 games next season... a winning record (i.e. 7 or more) is an absolutely must.

I'm predicting 8 wins, but "expecting" 9 wins (i.e. that's how many I think we *should* win, given the schedule). More specifically:
