see in Northern cities. Last year I was walking in Mid- town Atlanta and I wandered into the wrong area. I walked through a group of about 100 blacks congregating on this very run down side street. I thought I'd have a problem. Quite the contrary, The only comments I got as I passed through was from 4 or 5 of them saying "hello sir".

I'm not basing my opening sentence on this one anecdote, but I've always found it to be true and I travel extensively.
