with an idea only to have them tell you it sounds good but to put it in writing for them.

I think Rosenstein asked Trump about letting Comey go and Trump told him to write something up for him. Trump probably planned to anyway but when Rosenstein suggested it Trump pulled the trigger.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
