On average the difference between production is about 9,000 lbs more CO2 for production of an electric car versus gas. But the emissions per year on average makes up for that. The national average in the USA is that gas vehicles use about 7,000 more lbs of CO2 a year than electric. So the difference in production CO2 emission is quickly negated within the first year and half the car is driven.
