The first reason is obvious: he's an experienced player, excellent 3-point shooter (a threat we badly needed), and one of the top rated grad transfers of 2017. In my opinion, this is bigger than getting Tilmon (though I think we'll get him as well).

The second is that it means Cuonzo beat Georgia Tech's Josh Pastner in a head-to-head recruiting battle, another sign that Cuonzo is going to have a lot of success recruiting here. I mean, if he can sell this program after an 8-win season and 3 straight last-place finishes in the SEC, then imagine what he'll be able to do when the program gets back to respectability and he's had time to establish and develop relationships, pipelines, and work with full recruiting cycles.
