He'd be at MIT instead of the penitentiary if he had had more black role models in school. How about black role models at home? How about a black father living in the same home with a loving mother?
The problem is imo, that being black is more important than being qualified. Standards have been lowered so much that being the right color is more important than having the right qualifications.
The left will condescend to blacks forever. The plantation mentality was and will be that the government has to do more. The family is essentially absolved of responsibility of raising their own kids.
Blacks cannot be expected to achieve unless every single element in their environment is perfect, for them. If that doesn't work, socialists will come up with another excuse that is the responsibility of government to fix.
The soft bigotry of low expectations. Don't expect much from blacks, government has to do more.
