I will be taking gun lessons this year, including self defense, hand to hand combat.

I'm required to purchase a fire arm and every other gdamm accessory that comes with it (trillion dollar industry why should I be surprised).. but it is all in the name of protecting my family.

My trainer talked me into it because he said even if your a pacifist - which I am - you should understand how to defend, disarm, empty a chamber,and if need be shoot - accurately.
