also a Mizzou fan and not an Illini fan. But, I still see the Underwood hire as a reach. Coach Underwood took over a good SFA team and continued to have succcess. But, SFA's conference mates are: New Orleans, A&M Corpus Christi, Houston Baptist, Sam Houston, Lamar, SE Louisiana, Nicholls, Abiliene Christian, Northwestern State, UIW, Central Arkansas and McNesse. None of those universities are a top tier basketball school.

Coach Underwood then took over OSU for only one year. He did quite well with someone else's recruits. Coach Underwood did not get to show how he would improve his own recruits. He also only went .500 in conference.

Thus, to me, he is unproven and not worth 3 mil per year. There was a reason that the OSU AD balked beside the bad contract they gave to Ford.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
