Should any AD be of similar foolish mindset to Alden and think hiring someone directly from D2 who was last associated with the D1 game in the prior century is a viable option. Granted depending on motivation levels it may not play out quite as badly as it did here, but that is almost certainly not a recipe for success even if everything breaks surprisingly in your favor.
